Look Familiar? The relationship we have isn’t always the one we want! Thankfully there is a solution.

Welcome to Secrett Animals

My name is Hamish Secrett. With 24 years experience in training animals, I specialise in bespoke residential training, an extremely effective approach to training dogs.

What is Residential Training?

Residential training has 3 main stages.

• A consultation at your home to diagnose the issues and make a plan
• A multi-week, intensive behavioural training period carried out at my premises
• On completion of the intensive, one to one sessions to teach you how to maintain the new relationship

Every dog I work with gets 5 star treatment, receiving my full attention while training during the day and all the benefits of living in a cosy comfortable home with me during the process. This close one to one training approach gets the best results as it affords me to be able to train with many training sessions per day, the best way for dogs to learn. You can give me a call on 07496700470 or fill in this form for a call back.

Dogs truly are humanity’s best friend, and like any good relationship, that bond is built on trust, communication, and understanding.

Being able to let your dog off lead, confident they will return when called. Watching them interact calmly with children, visitors, and other animals. Leaving them at home knowing they are relaxed and content in their own company. Ultimately, we should trust our dogs and our dogs should trust us.

But relationships can become strained. Sometimes it’s a breakdown in communication. Sometimes boundaries have become unclear. Sometimes unwanted behaviours have developed over time and both owner and dog have fallen into patterns that no longer work.

The key to rebuilding that trust is not simply changing the dog’s behaviour—it’s improving the relationship itself. That means helping the owner better understand their dog and helping the dog better understand what is expected of them.

This is what I do through my residential training.
